Zendaya recreates Halle Berry's 2000 X-Men premiere look for Halloween
Zendaya is throwing it back to Y2K this Halloween. The Challengers star, 30, channeled Halle Berry yet again, recreating the yellow geometric-print two-piece Berry wore to the red carpet premiere of the original X-Men in 2000.
Her stylist, Law Roach, shared the look on Instagram Saturday, posting photos of Zendaya in the vintage ensemble alongside throwback images of Berry, now 60, in the original. The outfit is a Lanvin set with a string bikini top and coordinating pants, and Roach, 48, gave the fashion house a special shout-out for lending the piece.
A style homage that keeps repeating
This is not the first time Zendaya has borrowed from Berry's style book. Just last month, she walked the 2026 Emmy Awards red carpet in a dazzling Prada gown reminiscent of the beaded Collette Dinnigan mini dress Berry wore to the 2002 premiere of Die Another Day. The two stars even matched pixie cuts, a hairstyle Roach confirmed on the red carpet was directly inspired by Berry.
Berry herself approves of the tribute. She took to Instagram to share her love for Zendaya, declaring that the younger actress "murdered the night!"
The playful nod lands amid a difficult stretch for Berry, who has spent recent weeks in a custody battle with her ex-husband, Olivier Martinez, over their 13-year-old son, Maceo. A judge dissolved the temporary restraining order Martinez had filed against her on Thursday, granting the exes joint legal custody.
