The premiere of George Miller's film "Three Thousand Years of Desires" took place in Cannes — it was attended by Tilda Swinton and Idris Elba, who played the main roles in the film, as well as Alessandra Ambrosio, Casey Affleck, Poppy Delevingne and other stars.
The event was not without a scandal — at some point a half-naked woman ran onto the red carpet with a Ukrainian flag painted on her chest and the slogan "Stop raping us." The guards reacted quickly and took the activist away.
The film "Three Thousand Years of Desires" tells about a lonely woman who goes to Istanbul and meets a genie there who is ready to fulfill her wishes in exchange for her freedom.
Earlier in Cannes, the premieres of the films "Top Gun: Maverick" (Joseph Kosinski), "Tchaikovsky's Wife" (Kirill Serebrennikov) and "Armageddon Time" (James Gray) were held.
