Connor Ives’ fur-trimmed robe coat is fall’s $6,000 It coat
The fall It coat has officially changed. Move over Penny Lane — Kendall Jenner and Kate Moss are co-signing a new statement topper, and it comes from American designer Connor Ives.
The robe coat, which first appeared on Ives’s fall 2025 runway, is now having a full celebrity moment. Made from a silk-satin base and trimmed with repurposed vintage fox fur along the collar and cuffs, it reads as 1970s boho with a modern edge — and it starts at around $6,000.
Kate Moss was actually the first to step out in it, all the way back in January, pairing a shorter black silk iteration with light-wash skinny jeans. Zoe Kravitz followed months later in a light-blue version while heading to an SNL after-party with boyfriend Harry Styles.
This season the momentum has only built. Model Laura Harrier wore the same black style Moss favored, styling it with capri leggings and pointed pumps in Los Angeles. And just this week Jenner stepped out in a long cream version, finishing the look with black high-waisted trousers and a tonal Chanel maxi tote.
Why the coat works
The appeal is the same one that made the original Almost Famous coat iconic: minimal effort, maximum statement. Throw it over the most basic outfit and the coat does the heavy lifting. “It makes a statement, but in a super low-lift way,” Vogue’s Christian Allaire writes.
It’s also genuinely cozy — essentially a chic way to wrap yourself in a snuggly blanket that you can still wear to dinner or a party and look put-together. For a splurge-worthy investment coat, that combination is hard to argue with.
