Kylie Jenner wears Victoria's Secret's $50 million Fantasy Bra — 4,410 diamonds and no fabric
Kylie Jenner walked the Victoria's Secret runway wearing the brand's $50 million Fantasy Bra — the priciest one ever made and the first to hit the catwalk since 2018. The 29-year-old stepped out in a gauzy mini skirt, clear heels and white feathered wings, but everyone's eyes were on the centerpiece.
The bra packs 4,410 natural diamonds around a 75.54-carat radiant-cut Fancy Vivid yellow diamond. Fifteen craftspeople spent more than 1,000 hours building it, and the finished piece weighs just under four pounds. At $50 million, it tops the previous record holder, Gisele Bündchen's $15 million Red Hot Fantasy Bra from 2000, by $35 million.
"A big idea for the show was fandomonium," said Adam Selman, Victoria's Secret's chief creative officer. "The Fantasy Bra was one of the things that was requested the most from last year's show. So we thought, OK, how do we do this in a really fun, excessive way? Because that's what it is: a truly excessive piece of jewelry and artistry. It's almost museum quality."
A bra with zero fabric
For the design, Selman tapped Jacob Arabo of Jacob & Co., the jeweler behind pieces for Madonna, Rihanna, Elton John and Victoria Beckham. Arabo's brief was precise: "My vision was to create a piece of high jewelry that could be worn as a bra. No fabric, only gold and diamonds."
Those diamonds came in seven cuts — angel, heart, pear, marquise, oval, radiant and round brilliant — with four setting techniques used to maximize their sparkle. The hard part wasn't the bling, though. "The biggest challenge was making sure the bra was comfortable to wear while keeping true to the design," Arabo said. "This bra is made entirely of gold and diamonds — there is no fabric."
As for choosing Jenner, who has 380 million Instagram followers, Selman called her a "cultural powerhouse" who "extends beyond fashion, beyond culture, beyond TV." The Fantasy Bra tradition dates back to 1996, when Claudia Schiffer wore a $1 million version in a magazine ad. This year's comeback — at 50 times that original price — is as much a flex as a runway moment.
