Tim Cook is leaving Apple.
Tim Cook, 65, is stepping down as Apple's CEO. His position will be taken over by John Ternus, Apple's senior vice president of hardware engineering.
Ternus will take up the position on September 1, and Cook, who has led the brand since 2011 following the resignation of its founder, Steve Jobs, will become executive chairman. He stated that 50-year-old John Ternus, who has been with Apple for the past 25 years, is the best choice to replace him.
Tim Cook has been at Apple since 1998, becoming CEO 15 years ago. Under his leadership, the company's revenue grew from $108 billion in 2011 to $416 billion last year, and the brand launched the Apple Watch, AirPods wireless headphones, and Apple Vision Pro virtual reality glasses, as well as iCloud, Apple Pay, Apple TV, and Apple Music.
