Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter Apple posed for Vogue and said she dreams of becoming an actress.
Gwyneth Paltrow's 21-year-old daughter, Apple Martin, graced the March cover of Vogue magazine. The "Unclear" model posed in designs by Loewe, Prada, and Balenciaga, and in an interview, she revealed that, despite her law degree, she dreams of following in her mother's footsteps.
This May, Apple will graduate from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, where she's studying law, history, and sociology. However, she doubts that law is her calling. According to Martin, she initially chose the field to prove to her parents that she was capable of pursuing a career in a completely different field. "I was at a rebellious age and thought, 'I don't want to be like my parents,'" she explained.
Apple also noted that moving from Los Angeles and living in student housing were crucial steps in her life. First and foremost, it allowed her to take a break from the intrusive media attention that had followed her since birth. "I'm just grateful that I had the opportunity to live a normal life," Martin said, adding that despite unpleasant moments like "mold poisoning," university gave her a vast field for self-discovery and gave her "the best friends in the world."
Today, Apple is increasingly drawn to creativity. She loves singing, dancing, and acting, with the latter appealing to her most: "My dream is to become an actress."
Apple previously signed her first major fashion contract with the brand Self-Portrait, and also starred in an advertising campaign for Gap with her mother.
Apple is the eldest daughter of actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. The former couple, who remained on friendly terms after their divorce, also have a 19-year-old son, Moses. Paltrow is currently married to screenwriter Brad Falchuk, and Martin dated actress Dakota Johnson for about eight years, but they split last year.
