Users noticed that the actress's face in the photo looked different than in the "official" photos from the event. This sparked hate directed at Robbie. "This is the worst photo of her on the internet. It should have been deleted immediately after it was taken," wrote one critic.

However, many have come to the actress's defense. "Negative comments just show how blinded people are by Photoshop and retouching. This is what real people and real skin look like," "She's still beautiful," "Wrinkles and skin texture are normal. But Botox and fillers are not," people point out.

Some also suggested that poor lighting was to blame. Others even expressed doubt that Robbie's photo was real and not created for hype purposes using artificial intelligence.

Margot Robbie is a three-time Oscar nominee. She has been married to assistant director Tom Ackerley since 2016. In the fall of 2024, she gave birth to their first child, a son whose name and face she is currently keeping secret.
