Prince Harry appeared on a TV show and joked about his Hollywood connections thanks to Meghan Markle.
Prince Harry appeared on Stephen Colbert's Tonight Show and joked about his new Hollywood connections thanks to his wife, Meghan Markle.
During the show, Prince Harry pretended to be auditioning for a film. The youngest son of King Charles III joked that he would get the role anyway, given his Hollywood connections thanks to Meghan Markle, who recently returned to acting. This was the Duke's second appearance on the Late Show. He first appeared in January 2023, promoting his controversial memoir, "The Spare." However, he did not mention the topic during the show.
Interestingly, many online reacted ambivalently to Prince Harry's appearance on the show. On the Daily Mail website, many called him "cringe-worthy" and the jokes "inappropriate": "He has no charm or wit," "He and his wife are so out of touch," "He's as bad as Meghan. I never thought I'd say that," "From a real prince to a charlatan," "Harry is a disgrace to himself and his family," "As if he has anything to laugh at. He and his wife are the biggest joke ever!"
As a reminder, American actress Meghan Markle and Princess Diana's son, Prince Harry, married in 2018 in the UK. Their son, Archie, was born there. In 2020, the couple decided to step back from their royal duties and moved to California, where their daughter, Lilibet, was soon born. Following the move and the couple's numerous interviews about the hardships of life in the UK, their relationship with the royal family deteriorated.
The family is currently developing its projects in the United States, but they often run at a loss. Furthermore, Meghan Markle is regularly criticized for her insincerity, staged shows, and her cooking skills are ridiculed. Prince Harry has recently been trying to reconcile with his family. Meghan Markle, on the other hand, has spoken negatively about life in the UK and is against returning there.
