Demi Moore and Emma Heming hosted a star-studded gala in honor of Bruce Willis.
Bruce Willis's former and current wives, 47-year-old Emma Heming and 62-year-old Demi Moore, hosted an evening in the actor's honor. In his name, they decided to raise funds for a nonprofit organization that supports frontotemporal degeneration (FTD) research and helps people suffering from FTD.
The party, hosted by Emma and Demi, was attended by many stars. Among others, Whoopi Goldberg, Kyra Sedgwick, and Kevin Bacon came. Keith Richards (British guitarist and songwriter for The Rolling Stones), Norah Jones, and other famous musicians performed for the crowd.
“This would have been the perfect evening for Bruce, surrounded by family and friends, listening to live music,” Emma wrote on her Instagram*, where she shared photos from the event. Demi echoed her: “Celebrating Bruce’s life with everything he loves: family, friends, and music.”
As a reminder, in 2023, Bruce Willis was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. The illness forced him to end his acting career, as he could no longer memorize scripts. The actor's illness is progressing: he now has difficulty recognizing loved ones. For example, after a long separation, he had trouble immediately remembering Demi. Given his deteriorating condition, Emma Heming recently decided to move out of Bruce's home with her children. Many criticized her for this, but Emma has publicly stated that she does not accept criticism from people who have not faced a similar problem.
