Prince Harry Comments on Rumors of Separation with Meghan Markle
At the annual DealBook summit in New York, 40-year-old Prince Harry commented on rumors about his separation from his wife, 43-year-old Meghan Markle, which often appear online.
"From what people write about Megan and me, we've bought a house and moved ten times, and we've gotten divorced ten times. It's hard to keep up with that news, which is why you just ignore it. I feel sorry for the trolls the most: they get so excited about all this stuff, and then it turns out nothing happened. So I feel sorry for them," he said.
He also said that he is not going to leave the US with his children and wife Meghan Markle and return to the UK, which many expect from him. "I really like living here and raising my children here," he said, adding that there are things that he "certainly could not do in the UK" with his children, but he did not specify which ones.
Prince Harry also noted that he intends to "be the best husband and father I can be." In his speech, he also spoke about the proposal to legislate a ban on children using social networks, noting that this makes no sense, as it can lead to family quarrels and bullying in the workplace.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved to the United States in 2020, stepping back from their royal duties. Since then, there has been tension between Prince Harry and his immediate family, including because Harry and Meghan have publicly shared unpleasant details about life in the royal family. Earlier, it was revealed that the couple purchased real estate in Europe after the current king of Great Britain and Harry's father asked them to leave Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, which Queen Elizabeth II gave them as a wedding gift.
