Muscovite wins ex-boyfriend's luxury items, Dyson and Yorkshire terrier
A Muscovite has won a lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend for her personal belongings that he kept after their breakup: luxury outfits, bags, electronics, jewelry, and a dog. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing court documents.
The girl filed a complaint against her ex-boyfriend last year, stating that he was "illegally withholding her property," but the police refused to open a criminal case. Then she filed a lawsuit in court, which sided with her.
According to the victim's statement, she met the young man she was suing back in 2010 and had been dating periodically since then. In April 2023, the couple moved in together, but two months later, the lovers had a fight, and the boyfriend took the keys to the house from the girl. As a result, all of her things and the dog remained with him. According to the case materials, he promised to give his ex-girlfriend her things when she returned the money that he allegedly lent her.
The girl made a detailed list of things she demanded to be returned. Among them were dresses by Zimmermann, Mugler and Dolce & Gabbana, jackets by Zara, shoes by Christian Louboutin, Saint Laurent and Sergio Rossi, Air Jordan sneakers, bags by Dior, Fendy, Valentino and Prada, Gucci jeans, a Bottega Veneta raincoat, as well as things bought on AliExpress and Wildberries marketplaces. The list also included housecoats, over-the-knee boots, flip-flops, slippers, red and black patent leather underwear.
In addition to clothes, the girl demanded that she be given back an Apple computer, a Dyson hair dryer and hair straightener, Tiffani jewelry, cosmetics, and a sewing machine. "She listed all her property in great detail, right down to her flip-flops with tractor soles and hair ties," RIA Novosti cites the case materials.
The Yorkshire terrier, who was also held "hostage" by her ex-boyfriend, was listed after the black Chanel clutch.
The trial lasted a year, but in the end the Basmanny Court ruled in favor of the plaintiff.
