MMA Fighter Proposes to Girlfriend in Front of 20,000 Spectators and Gets Rejected
Czech mixed martial artist Lukas Bukovaz proposed to his girlfriend in the ring after the fight, but she turned him down in front of 20,000 spectators. For this, she was booed and doused with water.
Czech fighter Lukas Bukovaz fought Jan Michalek and lost the fight. After the defeat, Lukas Bukovaz called his girlfriend into the octagon, got down on one knee in front of her and proposed marriage. But the girl refused, saying: "I don't think it's a good idea after everything that happened between us. My answer is no." The press wrote that she did this because he cheated on her.
The fighter did not respond to this accusation, but outside the ring the girl was booed, and someone tried to throw water at her. The video of the unsuccessful proposal went viral on the X* network (former Twitter*). Opinions on the situation were divided: someone joked about the fighter, noting that this was "two defeats in two minutes", someone supported him, and someone sided with the girl.
Some time later, Lukasz Bukovaz recorded a video that he posted on Instagram**, in which he denied all accusations of infidelity.
Athletes often propose to their girlfriends after competitions, but not everyone approves of this practice: some consider it a form of pressure, because it is much more difficult to refuse in front of a crowd than one-on-one.
