Charles III, despite his illness, attended the Easter service in Windsor with Queen Camilla and other family members
Charles III, despite his state of health, attended the Easter service in St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
Some Internet users believe that the British monarch decided not to miss such an important event for the royal family in order to calm the public a little. Recently, rumors and conspiracy theories have been multiplying online around, first of all, the disappearance from the radar of Kate Middleton, who was diagnosed with cancer during abdominal surgery. Despite the fact that the Princess of Wales herself announced her diagnosis in a video message, many continue to suspect that something is not being told to the public, and the video with her statement is considered completely fabricated.
According to the official version, however, Kate is simply focused on treatment, which is why she stayed at home on Easter Sunday with her husband, Prince William, and children. So the royal family arrived at the service in a reduced number. In addition to Charles III and Queen Camilla, who dressed in an emerald dress and coat decorated with Elizabeth II's brooch, were present the disgraced Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, Princess Royal Anne with Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Lawrence, as well as the Duchess of Edinburgh Sophie and her husband Edward and son James.
Due to illness, Charles III arrived at the chapel by car and sat separately from his family during the service - as doctors recommended to avoid infection. In addition, the king was forced to skip the traditional family dinner after the service. Despite this, many noticed that the monarch looked cheerful and optimistic: he greeted those gathered near the chapel with a smile and wished them a happy Easter.
Let us remind you that on January 26, Charles III was operated on as planned due to an enlarged prostate. During this procedure, His Majesty was diagnosed with cancer, as Buckingham Palace announced in early February. Due to illness, the monarch temporarily suspended his public duties.
