Kanye West has been banned from entering the UK.
Kanye West has been banned from entering the UK for making anti-Semitic remarks.
The BBC reports that UK Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has revoked the rapper's entry permit. According to the official statement, Kanye's concerts do not contribute to the "public good" of the country's residents.
The rapper was already listed as a headliner at the Wireless Festival, which will take place in London in July. Festival organizers have already commented on their decision to invite West, despite his controversial reputation: "Prior to booking Ye, consultations were held with multiple stakeholders, and no concerns were raised at the time."
Now the visa that West had already received has been cancelled, and the festival organisers have announced the cancellation of this year's event.
As a reminder, in 2022, Kanye West gave an interview to conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, in which he admitted to respecting Hitler. Around the same time, Adidas terminated its contract with the rapper due to his photo with a swastika and nationalist statements on social media.
Since then, West has apologized repeatedly for his statements and actions. In 2025, the rapper even met with Rabbi Yeshayahu Pinto in New York City, to whom he admitted that he had said all of these things because of his bipolar disorder.
The rapper has been battling this illness since 2018, though not with much success so far. In a 2026 interview, Kanye's wife, Bianca Censori, revealed that living with the rapper is difficult due to his bipolar disorder. However, he is finally serious about seeking treatment, and she supports him on this journey.
Soon after, it was announced that Kanye had undergone treatment at an elite rehab facility in Spain. And in March 2026, the rapper released his first album in two years, Bully, and immediately embarked on the Ye: Homecoming concert tour.
