Ryan Reynolds and Sony Studios Support Blake Lively After She Sues Justin Baldoni for Sexual Harassment
Ryan Reynolds and Sony have come out in support of Blake Lively after she accused Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment and public bullying.
Blake Lively's husband, 48-year-old Ryan Reynolds, recorded a video in which he supported a children's charity. In the video, he appeared in a Deadpool costume. He left an ambiguous caption under the video: "I made a video when I really didn't want to wear this costume." The Internet assumed that this was a hint at the accusations against Baldoni: the video was released a couple of days after Lively filed a lawsuit.
Also in support of Lively was Sony Studios, which filmed the movie "It Ends with Us", during which the conflict between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni began.
"We have expressed our support for Blake in the past for her work on this film. We continue to support her today. We also condemn any attacks on her," a Sony spokesperson told Variety.
Recall that 37-year-old Blake Lively filed a lawsuit against 40-year-old Justin Baldoni, with whom she worked on the film "It Ends with Us": both played the main roles, Baldoni acted as director, Lively - as producer. Blake accused Justin of causing her "severe emotional distress" and "repeatedly harassing her." According to her, he discussed his sexual addiction with her, showed her photos of naked women, publicly talked about the genitals of crew members and commented on her weight. During the filming of bed scenes, he "improvised" without consent and demanded additional takes, visited Lively in the trailer when she was breastfeeding her child, and also added new scenes that included nudity. For example, in the birth scene, Blake ended up filming almost completely naked, although this was not previously in the script.
Blake also claims that Baldoni orchestrated her online harassment, criticizing the actress for not paying enough attention to the topic of domestic violence, which the film was dedicated to, and bringing up her past misdeeds. Recently, correspondence was leaked in which Baldoni discusses orchestrating the harassment of Blake. The campaign against Lively is being orchestrated by crisis PR manager Melissa Nathan, who was responsible for Johnny Depp's image during his legal battle with Heard, and who ultimately won the case against his ex-wife. Amber Heard, upon learning of this, also publicly supported Blake.
