'Your Son Is A Rapist': P. Diddy's Mother And Children Booed Outside Court
The mother and six children of rapper P. Diddy (real name Sean Combs), who is accused of human trafficking and violence, attended his preliminary hearing. A crowd of ill-wishers booed the artist's relatives as they left the building of the Federal Court for the Southern District of New York, the Daily Mail reports.
The rapper was supported by his 84-year-old mother Janice Combs, wearing a coat with an animal print and massive sunglasses, his children with the late Kim Porter: 26-year-old Christian King, 17-year-old twins D'Lila Star and Jesse James, and 33-year-old Quincy Brown, from a previous relationship with Kim, whom P. Diddy adopted and raised from childhood. Also present were: the rapper's firstborn, 30-year-old Justin Dior from designer Misa Hilton-Brim, and 18-year-old Chance from the rapper's relationship with Sarah Chapman. All the children held hands as they left the meeting and did not respond to the shouts directed at them.
"Janis, your son is a rapist! Your son is a rapist and he deserves to go to jail," the rapper's mother shouted from the crowd. Before the trial, Diddy's relatives reportedly got out of the car and entered the courthouse amid the noise of the angry crowd. The artist's mother, who had previously stated that her son was "not a monster," tried to keep her head down and also ignored the hate.
P. Diddy, who complained about the food in prison, arrived at the hearing in prison garb. He smiled, hugged his lawyers and was happy to see his family. The trial of the rapper, who is accused of human trafficking and sexual assault, will take place on May 5 next year. Until then, lawyers for both sides will be collecting evidence and preparing for what is likely to be one of the most high-profile cases in recent years.
