Kate Middleton in a festive look attended a Christmas concert with her husband and children
Kate Middleton and her family attended a Christmas concert at Westminster Abbey. For this event, the 42-year-old Princess of Wales chose a festive look that matched the spirit of Christmas and New Year's holidays: a red coat from Kate's favorite brand Alexander McQueen with a large bow on the neck. Western media have already compared the princess's look to a gift-wrapped present.
The family was in full force at the concert: Prince William and his and Kate's children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Everyone was in festive attire: Charlotte in a burgundy coat similar to her mother's, George, Louis and William in scarlet ties.
The concert at Westminster Abbey in early December, called "Together at Christmas," is an annual tradition. This year, the name of the concert, as noted online, seems especially symbolic, because the royal family is going through difficult times: both Kate Middleton and King Charles III are being treated for cancer. Prince William recently admitted that this year has been the hardest in his life.
This was Kate's second public appearance this week: a few days ago, she, along with her husband Prince William and other members of the royal family, welcomed a delegation from Qatar to Buckingham Palace.
After completing a course of chemotherapy, the Princess of Wales is gradually returning to royal duties, but not yet in full, as she continues treatment.
