The fourth annual gala of the Academy Museum of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which opened in 2021, was held in Los Angeles on October 19. It was attended by many world cinema stars and other media personalities.
Among others, the event was attended by Kim Kardashian (in Thierry Mugler), Kendall and Kylie Jenner (in Schiaparelli and Mugler respectively), Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (in Saint Laurent), Nicole Kidman (in Balenciaga), Selena Gomez, Uma Thurman (in Fendi couture), Amy Adams, Eva Longoria (in Georges Hobeika), Gal Gadot (in Loewe), Marion Cotillard, Kaia Gerber (in Givenchy couture), Olivia Wilde (in Erdem), Cara Delevingne, Pamela Anderson (in The Row), Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song, Sofia Richie and Elliott Grainge, John Travolta with his daughter Ella Bleu, Ariana Grande (in vintage Balmain).

The event featured the Icon Award for his impact on global culture (which went to West Side Story star Rita Moreno), the Luminary Award (which went to Quentin Tarantino for his contributions to cinema), and the Visionary Award, which went to Paul Mescal for disrupting “dominant narratives around cinema.”
