Angelina Jolie sold Churchill's landscape at auction for a record price
Famous American actress Angelina Jolie sold at auction a painting by Winston Churchill, given to her by Brad Pitt.
Work Qutubia mosque Tower Jolie sold on March 1 for $11.6 million at the Christie's auction.
According to foreign media, Brad Pitt bought the painting as a gift to the actress in 2011.

The initial cost of the lot was $3.5 million. The final amount turned out to be a record for the work of British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
In total, he created more than 500 paintings, but during the Second World War he painted only this one.

The painting will be shown to the general public in Paris, Amsterdam and Hong Kong, and then it will be put up for auction at Sotheby's in the French capital. Van Gogh's Montmartre street scene was written in In 1887.
It is expected that the painting will be sold for €5-8 million. The auction will be held on March 25.
