"It was crazy." Britney Spears says she kissed Ben Affleck before dating Justin Timberlake
Britney Spears in a new post on Instagram* said that she kissed Ben Affleck even before her affair with Justin Timberlake, which years later became the reason for a major scandal.
The singer shared an archival photo with Ben Affleck and composer and songwriter Diane Warren. The photo was taken in 1999: that’s when Britney began her affair with Timberlake.
"Cool photo of me, Ben Affleck and Diane Warren years ago. He is such an amazing actor. I forgot to mention I kissed Ben that night... Damn, this is crazy. I wish I could tell you guys the story that happened before this ! Oh God, I'm just a gossip," Britney Spears wrote under the photo.
It is not known how long the relationship between Affleck and Britney lasted, but in 1999 the singer was first suspected of having a relationship with Timberlake. She initially denied the affair, claiming she had "no feelings at all" for Timberlake and was focused on her career, but their relationship was later confirmed. They were together until 2003, when Timberlake accused Britney of cheating and broke off the relationship. Britney Spears later stated that it was actually Timberlake who cheated, who, according to her, also left her by writing an SMS. In her memoirs, she stated that her ex-lover forced her to have an abortion. They continue to sort things out to this day: Spears previously apologized to Justin for mentioning him in her memoirs, but he did not accept her apology, after which Britney spoke out sharply on social networks.
As for Ben Affleck, a year before the alleged affair with Britney, he broke up with actress Gwyneth Paltrow, whom he met on the set of the film Shakespeare in Love, and later he began dating Jennifer Lopez. They wanted to get married, but their relationship ended due to intense media attention towards their couple. Ben soon married Jennifer Garner, with whom he has three children, and in 2021 he began dating Lopez again: this time it ended in a wedding.
