"I'm not a rapist or a pedophile." Donald Trump denied the accusations in the "manifesto" of his shooter.
Donald Trump categorically denied the allegations contained in the so-called "manifesto" of shooter Cole Alley, who attempted to assassinate him during a White House Correspondents' Association reception. In an interview with CBS News, an excerpt from the letter, in which the shooter called the US president a "pedophile" and a "rapist," was read aloud to Trump.
"I was waiting for you to read this because I knew you would, because you're horrible people. Yes, he wrote it, but I'm not a rapist. I haven't raped anyone. I'm not a pedophile," Trump said. "I've been linked to all this stuff that has nothing to do with me. I've been completely exonerated. Your friends on the other side of the fence were involved in, let's say, the Epstein thing or other things like that... I read the manifesto. He's a sick man. But you should be ashamed of yourself for reading this, because I'm not. You're a disgrace."
An assassination attempt on the US president occurred on the night of April 26 at a White House Correspondents' Association reception. Approximately 2,600 guests attended the event, including Trump and his wife, Melania, journalists, and businessmen. Shots were fired near the metal detector at the entrance to the banquet hall. The attacker failed to gain entry, and Trump was quickly escorted away from the scene.
As a reminder, this is not the first time Donald Trump has been accused of pedophilia and sexualized abuse. It is known that Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, who is accused of years of sexualized crimes (including against children), moved in the same circles for 15 years. According to these files, some celebrities who attended Epstein's infamous parties engaged in sexual relations with minors. The pedophile financier himself committed suicide in prison in 2019 under mysterious circumstances, and his accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, is serving a 20-year sentence.
