Donatella Versace, Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, and Princess Diana's nieces attended the premiere of the sequel to "The Devil Wears Prada" in London.
The European premiere of "The Devil Wears Prada 2" took place in London. The leading actors and other celebrities walked the red carpet, including Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Donatella Versace, and Princess Diana's nieces, Kitty, Eliza, and Amelia Spencer.
Anne Hathaway, 43, who previously hinted at converting to Islam, chose a far from "halal" outfit for the outing: she wore a form-fitting custom Versace dress with sheer panels. Emily Blunt, 43, wore a strapless corset top with a cascading train and matching trousers, while Meryl Streep, 76, wore a red, black, and white Prada ensemble. 70-year-old Donatella Versace, who played herself in the sequel to the cult film, opted for a laconic black dress with open shoulders.
An insider previously revealed that Sydney Sweeney was cut from the film amid a series of scandals surrounding her.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 revolves around Runway editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), who struggles to maintain the magazine's influence amid a print media crisis. Her former assistant, Emily (Emily Blunt), now runs a luxury brand, and its advertising budget could be the magazine's salvation. The film opens in theaters on April 29.
