The ex-husband of blogger Lerchek, who is currently battling cancer, was sentenced to seven years in prison. Artyom Chekalin was taken into custody in the courtroom, TASS reports.
Chekalin was also fined 194 million rubles.
Chekalin, like his ex-wife, is accused of illegally transferring profits from a fitness marathon to foreign accounts using forged documents. The prosecutor had requested a 7.5-year prison sentence.
Earlier in January, the Chekalins' former business partner, Roman Vishnyak, was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison and a fine of half a million rubles.
