Ben Affleck gave Jennifer Lopez a $60 million mansion after their divorce.
Fifty-three-year-old actor Ben Affleck transferred his entire stake in their luxurious $60 million Beverly Hills estate to his ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez. According to TMZ, this was not a sale, but a gift.
The couple purchased the mansion, located in a prestigious Los Angeles neighborhood, in May 2023 for $60.85 million. The estate features 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, a 12-car garage, a private elevator, and a massive sports complex with a basketball court, gym, boxing ring, and swimming pool. After their divorce, the house was put on the market, but no buyer was found, despite a price reduction from $68 million to $52 million.
It is assumed that Affleck made such a generous gift to his ex-wife in order to finally put an end to the protracted history of their relationship.
As a reminder, Ben Affleck and 56-year-old Jennifer Lopez's relationship began in 2002, but they decided to cancel their wedding three days before it was supposed to be. The stars reunited in 2021, nearly 20 years after calling off their first wedding. In July 2022, they held an intimate ceremony in Las Vegas, followed by a lavish celebration in Georgia. Soon after the wedding, netizens began to notice that Affleck didn't seem happy in his wife's company. In 2024, these rumors were confirmed: Lopez filed for divorce on August 20, the very day of their wedding anniversary. The divorce was finalized in early 2025. Rumors suggest that one of the reasons for the split was Jennifer's love of publicity and Ben's reluctance to share his personal life on camera.
Jennifer is currently focused on herself and the new chapter in her life, though she occasionally reminisces about her ex-husband. Before her relationship with Affleck, she had been married three times, and with Marc Anthony, she has twins, Emma and Max. The actress recently celebrated their 18th anniversary by posting rare family photos.
