Kanye West's thoughts on Kim Kardashian's new romance have been revealed.
No sooner had Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton officially introduced Kim Kardashian as his beloved than details emerged about her ex-husband, rapper Kanye West, regarding the affair. Page Six shares the details.
Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton's romance has reached a new level: the athlete recently posted a video on social media of them driving a Ferrari together in Tokyo, marking the first public confirmation of their relationship.
"That's good. Kanye doesn't ask himself, 'Is Lewis a good person?' He's a sweet, smart person and an incredible athlete," a source close to West said, adding that Hamilton is "an acquaintance" in the rapper's circle.
In March, the 41-year-old race car driver accompanied Kim and her three children (Chicago, Saint, and Psalm) on a trip to Tokyo. A video of Hamilton and Saint shopping for sneakers and Pokémon cards together quickly went viral. "Kanye is at peace now knowing Lewis is with his children. He trusts him. He loves Kim, so he only wants the best for her," the insider added.
Things were quite different when, after their divorce, 45-year-old Kim began dating Pete Davidson. "He truly hated Pete Davidson," a source admits. Then, in the midst of divorce proceedings (the divorce was officially finalized in November 2022), Kanye released a track threatening the comedian, and in a video, he kidnapped and buried a cartoon version of him. Kim herself later admitted that she was "very sad" about her ex-husband's behavior. Hamilton, apparently, is treated in a completely "different way."
A source explains that at the time, 48-year-old Kanye was "traumatized because he lost the love of his life," but now "acknowledges why he lost her: he was causing a lot of chaos in her life." Kim herself attributes the split to his "toxic" behavior and bipolar disorder, citing "a lack of stability" and a feeling of being "unsafe—emotionally and financially" as the main issues. Now, according to the insider, Kanye has found peace: "He's back to music and focused on the positive." He's also already dreaming of having children with his current wife, Bianca Censori—the rapper has even picked out some interesting names.
Kanye and Kim's marriage lasted from 2014 to 2022. During this time, they had four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. The latter two were born via surrogate mothers.
As a reminder, rumors of a romance between Kim and Lewis surfaced earlier this year, when the couple was spotted on a secret weekend getaway at a London hotel, allegedly arriving separately to avoid attention. Since then, the couple has been spotted by paparazzi several times during outings together in Los Angeles and Tokyo.
Lewis Hamilton is a seven-time Formula 1 world champion and the first driver in history to reach 100 victories. Last year, he moved to the legendary Ferrari team, but the season was disappointing: for the first time in his career, he failed to achieve a single podium finish. However, the Briton has already returned to the podium this season, finishing third at the Chinese Grand Prix.
