Lana Del Rey stars as a tradwife in a music video with her husband.
Lana Del Rey has released a music video for her new single, "White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter," in which she stars as a tradwife alongside her husband, alligator hunter Jeremy Dufresne.
In the track, the 40-year-old singer sings about her marriage to Dufresne. Judging by the interior, the entire four-minute video was filmed in his home in the small fishing village of Des Allemands.
"I know you wish you had a man like him, it's so hurtful. I love my daddy. Of course, we're still together," Lana admits in the video. The eleven-time Grammy nominee then sings about her intention to "cook for my husband," even though it's "weird" for her because "you know how bad she is with the oven."
At one point, Manhattan native and boarding school graduate Del Rey kneels and sticks her head and hands in an oven to further demonstrate her inability to manage a household. The video ends with the singer dancing while the "magical" and "absolutely wonderful" Dufresne grills the food himself.
Del Rey and Dufresne have known each other since at least 2019, when he became a guide on her Louisiana cruise. "When we met, I knew almost immediately that I loved him. Like many people who work with large, dangerous animals, Jeremy has a calm but strong character," the singer said in an interview.
The couple's romance became public in August 2024, and a month later they secretly married in Louisiana, where they subsequently settled. For some time, the singer's fans doubted the sincerity of Dufresne's intentions, fearing he might be pursuing selfish goals. However, the lovers ignore the gossip and maintain an idyllic relationship. They also appear in public together, and fans of the singer have noticed Jeremy's change of style, trading his camouflage cap for old-money pieces.
The "Summertime Sadness" singer has had numerous relationships before, but never married. As for Dufresne, he was previously married and has three children.
