Madonna posted a photo with Russian artists Olya Avtreikh and Elizaveta Zalieva.
Madonna posted a photo on her Instagram* with two Russian artists, Olya Avtreikh and Elizaveta Zalieva. The meeting took place during her visit to renowned artist Tracey Emin's creative residency in Kent, England, where both currently work.
"I'm always amazed by the dedication and passion of all these artists. They all have very touching stories, and it's so rewarding to watch them work so selflessly. It's a pleasure to share something that isn't about hatred and murder, but celebrates human connections and the power of art to uplift people," the 67-year-old singer wrote.
Avtreich and Zalieva also shared their impressions of meeting Madonna on their social media accounts, noting that they couldn't quite believe what had happened. Avtreich also posted a photo of the singer holding two of her works, which she purchased for herself following the visit.
It is curious that during the trip to the residence, Madonna, who has long had a special passion for Russian, was wearing an ushanka hat with the USSR cockade.
Before painting, Avtreich was a successful media manager and journalist. She came to art consciously, having graduated from the HSE School of Design. As for Elizaveta Zalieva, she graduated from a specialized university in St. Petersburg. Both have already held solo exhibitions, and Russian media have repeatedly published articles about their work. Recently, both have lived abroad and were among the few Russian artists selected for the prestigious Emin Residence.
