Larisa Dolina was photographed vacationing in the UAE amid a scandal involving an apartment she sold at the behest of scammers and for which she was sued by the new owner, Muscovite Polina Lurye.
A photo of the 70-year-old singer was published by the Telegram channel Mash: according to the resource, Dolina, along with her daughter and granddaughter, are staying at an elite Abu Dhabi hotel on Saadiyat Island—the five-star Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island, where a stay costs up to 540,000 rubles per night.
As a reminder, in mid-December, the Supreme Court upheld Luria's rights to the apartment in Khamovniki, which she purchased from Dolina. The singer was required to immediately vacate the premises and hand it over to the new owner. However, the handover was postponed several times, despite the artist having already begun moving her belongings out. Dolina's representatives stated that she would hand over the keys to Luria no earlier than January 5, but then the media reported that Dolina had gone on vacation, preventing Luria from signing the acceptance certificate.
Last summer, Larisa Dolina admitted to selling her Moscow apartment for 112 million rubles and handing over the money, including part of her savings, to fraudsters. Overall, the singer estimated her losses at over 300 million rubles. Dolina appealed to the court, which returned the property to her, leaving the buyer without an apartment or money.
The case sparked a public outcry. Even the singer's colleagues criticized her online, and users are calling for her "cancellation." The situation was discussed in the State Duma. Meanwhile, several thousand cases of apartments being returned to their owners months and even years after the sale have been recorded across the country. Homebuyers are left without property and money, and some are forced to continue paying off their loans. This scheme has been popularly dubbed "the effect" or "the Dolina scheme." It has subsequently been called the most negative event of 2025, and has already become a meme.
The story generated such widespread attention that it even earned an article in the American magazine Vanity Fair. Amid the scandal, Dolina made a special statement on Channel One.
