Collins announced the birth of her child with her husband, writer Charlie McDowell, earlier this year. It soon became known that their daughter was born via a surrogate, sparking criticism of the couple: many assumed Lily was young enough to have the baby herself but didn't want to ruin her figure.
Another theory is that the actress was unable to carry a child due to health issues: she previously admitted to struggling with bulimia and anorexia.
