Vitaly Terentyev, advisor to the CEO of HeadHunter, fell into a coma after liposuction, according to several Telegram channels.
According to Mash, 46-year-old Terentyev was scheduled for plastic surgery on December 20 at the private Moscow clinic "Sharm Gold" on Prospekt Mira. The procedure itself went well, but complications arose afterward, resulting in respiratory arrest.
The clinic's medical staff called an ambulance and attempted to stabilize the patient's condition until it arrived. Terentyev was rushed to a hospital, where he remains in a coma and on a ventilator. Doctors assess his condition as critical.
The clinic's head physician, plastic surgeon Gaik Babayan, declined to comment on the incident, limiting himself to stating that "everything is fine" with the patient.
It's worth noting that in 2019, the Sharm Gold clinic found itself at the center of a scandal. A patient filed a lawsuit after a botched breast augmentation surgery resulted in the implants being inserted incorrectly. The court found the clinic liable, and the victim won the case, receiving two million rubles in compensation.
