Pulp Fiction and The Mask star Peter Greene has died.
Hollywood actor Peter Greene has died at the age of 60. The star of the cult '90s films "The Mask" and "Pulp Fiction" was found dead in his New York City apartment, his agent told The New York Post.
It is known that Green was found "without signs of life" on the afternoon of December 12, and paramedics called to the apartment pronounced him dead. The exact cause of the actor's death is still unknown, but no signs of violence were found on his body.
According to the publication, on the night of December 10, Green's neighbors heard music from the film "The Mask" coming from his apartment, but decided not to go investigate. He was soon discovered, according to eyewitnesses, lying on the floor with a broken face and blood everywhere. A note reading "I'm still a Westie" was also found on Peter Green's door. (The Westies were an Irish-American gang that operated in New York's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood in the 1970s and 1980s.) The actor was scheduled to begin filming the new film "Mascots" with Mickey Rourke in early 2026.
Peter Greene was born in New Jersey and dropped out of high school at 15 to move to New York City and become an actor. In film, Greene played mostly villains, and his most famous works included the films "The Mask," "Pulp Fiction," "Diamond Cop," and the television series "Justified," "Chicago P.D.", "The Donnelly Boys," and many others. In the late 1990s, Peter Greene's drug addiction became known, and he underwent treatment in rehab. The actor has never married and has no children.
