Aglaya Tarasova was sentenced to three years' probation for drug smuggling. A Moscow region court handed down the ruling today. The 31-year-old actress was also fined 200,000 rubles.
The Domodedovo Court of the Moscow Region found the actress guilty under Article 229.1 of the Russian Criminal Code, which carried a sentence of up to seven years in prison. The prosecutor requested a suspended sentence of 3.5 years.
Tarasova previously stated in court that she is not a drug dealer and does not use drugs, and that her vape, in which the banned substance was found, was in its original packaging, with a logo and certificate.
