"This is a ridiculous, tragic accident." Aglaya Tarasova made her closing statement before the sentencing in the drug smuggling case.
Aglaya Tarasova, who was arrested in September for drug smuggling, made her closing statement before her sentencing. She faces up to seven years in prison and a fine of 1 million rubles.
"I admit my guilt; I broke the law, and I deeply regret it. It was a very difficult lesson, and believe me, I've rethought a lot. I actively cooperated with the investigation and told everything honestly, Your Honor. I'm not a drug dealer or a drug user, but I understand that I wasn't vigilant enough; otherwise, the vape would never have ended up in my suitcase. But now I understand that I should have been more careful back then, in 2022. This offense has dealt a blow to my entire family, and I'm terrified that the sentence will impact my family. I feel guilty before the viewers and the people who follow my life, and I ask for their forgiveness. I thank my colleagues who didn't turn their backs on me. I ask for a chance to prove that what happened was a ridiculous, tragic accident," Super reports Tarasova as saying. The news is supplemented.
