Catherine Zeta-Jones shared rare wedding photos with Michael Douglas in honor of their 25th wedding anniversary.
Catherine Zeta-Jones congratulated Michael Douglas on their 25th wedding anniversary. The 56-year-old actress posted rare archival photos with her husband on social media.
The star shared a photo of the couple on the day they met. "The first time I met your gaze," Katherine wrote. 
Zeta-Jones then shared photos from her wedding, which took place at the Plaza Hotel in New York City in 2000. In the pictures, the actress poses with her groom, their three-month-old son Dylan, and her parents.
The actress shared how she felt on her wedding day and declared her love for her husband. "25 years ago, I walked down the aisle. The intoxicating scent of flowers, the glow of candles, the resonant, harmonious Welsh choir, and you, waiting for me at the end of a long journey, looking at me the way only you can. I love you today as much as I did then. Thank you, darling," she wrote. Katherine.
The actress shared not only archival photos with her husband, but also added several recent shots from her travels and social events.
As a reminder, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas, now 81, have been together since 1998. In 2000, shortly before their wedding, the couple welcomed their first child, son Dylan. Three years later, daughter Carys was born.
Over the years of their marriage, the artists' relationship had its share of problems. In 2011 and 2013, Zeta-Jones underwent treatment for bipolar disorder. The illness and deep depression threatened to destroy the marriage: in 2013, Douglas reportedly planned to file for divorce. He was "unable to tolerate the depression, which was severe due to Katherine's illness." After several months, the couple managed to save their relationship.
Michael Douglas also has an older son, Cameron, from his marriage to Diandra Luker. In 2010, he was sentenced to five years in prison for drug trafficking and recently became a father for the second time.
