Tom Cruise reacts to his ex-wife Nicole Kidman's divorce from Keith Urban
Nicole Kidman's ex-husband, Tom Cruise, has responded to the actress's divorce from her husband, Keith Urban, after 19 years of marriage. International Business, citing sources, reported that the actor closely followed the news of Kidman's split from 58-year-old Urban.
"When Tom and Nicole broke up, everyone hated him, but everyone sympathized with her. He was painted as the bad guy, and that stigma haunted him for years. Now that everything has changed, he sees it as karma. It's very ironic for him," insiders close to the 63-year-old actor said. 
The insider emphasized that Tom isn't gloating over Nicole's divorce: "He genuinely sympathizes with Nicole because he knows how painful it is when everyone digs into your personal life. However, he always believed that Keith was more of a backup plan for the actress than true love."
It was previously reported that 58-year-old Nicole Kidman is still ready to return to Keith Urban. According to an insider, they did indeed encounter difficulties, but were trying to save their relationship. That's why the singer shocked Nicole when he announced their marriage was over.
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's divorce was announced at the end of September. Interestingly, Nicole filed for divorce the very next day after the news broke. Meanwhile, Urban had already moved out of their home. Fans of the couple had suspected problems in their marriage several months earlier. 
Shortly after the couple's split, a video from Urban's concert went viral. He changed the lyrics to a song dedicated to Nicole, replacing the words "fighter" with a reference to his 25-year-old guitarist, Maggie Boe. Fans then suspected they were having an affair. Rumor has it that Nicole Kidman is deeply affected by the rumors of Keith's affair with a younger woman, as she is sensitive about the topic of her youth.
Nicole Kidman married Keith Urban in 2006, just a year and a half after they met. The couple has two daughters: 16-year-old Sunday Rose and 14-year-old Faith Margaret, who was born via surrogate.
Kidman was married to Tom Cruise for 11 years, during which they had two adopted children. After the couple's divorce, the children stopped communicating with Kidman, as she opposed Scientology, which Cruise and his children followed. They now see each other only occasionally, and Kidman refuses to discuss them in interviews.
