Timothée Chalamet Confused With 'Anora' Star Mark Eidelstein

During the BAFTA Awards ceremony, photographers mistook Timothée Chalamet for Mark Eidelstein. Getty Images posted a photo from the red carpet of the event, where the actor's name was incorrectly signed: instead of Chalamet, the photo showed "Mark Eidelstein".
The Internet has long been discussing the physical resemblance of Timothée Chalamet and Mark Eidelstein, who gained worldwide fame thanks to his leading role in the film "Anora." The controversy intensified after Mark posted a photo on his social networks with Chalamet, whom he first met in person last December at the Gotham Awards. Users are divided into two camps: some believe that Eidelstein is simply copying Chalamet, while others are sure that the Russian actor has become a new global sex symbol.
Mark Eidelstein himself has repeatedly admitted that he enjoys being compared to the star of the film "Dune." Last October, at the premiere of the film "Anora" in New York, where 22-year-old Mark was presenting the film in America, he was asked how he felt about being called the "Russian double" of Timothée Chalamet. Mark admitted that he was flattered. "I am very grateful for this comparison, because he is an amazing actor, to be honest. If we met, I would say: "Hey, dude. Thank you for your work. Do you like "Anora"? What do you think about the philosophy of the film?" US Weekly quotes Mark.
Earlier, a similar incident happened to another star of "Anora", Oscar-nominated Yura Borisov. Photographers confused him with the musical composer of "Brutalist" Daniel Bloomberg. A photo from the red carpet of the event, published in Getty Images, was also incorrectly captioned: Bloomberg, posing for the photo, was identified as Borisov.
By the way, for his work in "Anora" Yura Borisov was nominated for Best Supporting Actor, but the award went to Kieran Culkin.
