Jay-Z Reacts to 13-Year-Old Rape Allegations
Jay-Z responded to accusations of raping a 13-year-old girl, which he allegedly committed in 2000 with his friend P. Diddy, on the social network X (formerly Twitter, blocked in Russia). The 55-year-old producer called the lawsuit a "disgusting attempt at blackmail."
"Only conspiracy theorists would believe the idiotic allegations that have been made against me. If it weren't for the seriousness of the allegations of harm to children, it would be laughable," Jay-Z said. He also called the initiator of the lawsuit one of the "disgusting people" he has had to deal with in his career.
Jay-Z, who has three children with singer Beyoncé, recalled that he comes from Brooklyn, where "they don't play games like that": "We have very strict codes and honor. We protect children." He also said that his "only sadness" in the situation is the impact it will have on his family: "My wife and I will have to teach our children about the cruelty and greed of people. But they should not have to be exposed at such a young age to inexplicable evil designed to destroy families and the human spirit."
Earlier, the press reported on a lawsuit against Jay-Z, in which the victim's defense claims that the rape occurred after the Video Music Awards ceremony in 2000. Then the girl was allegedly picked up on the street, given a drink, and then raped by Jay-Z and P. Diddy. At the same time, a certain "guest of the evening" was present, who observed everything. Later, the girl managed to escape.
Last September, rumors appeared on social networks about Jay-Z and Beyoncé's connection to the crimes of P. Diddy (Sean Combs), who is currently under arrest on charges of sex trafficking and violence. The public assumed that the singer and her husband knew the truth about Diddy, but kept silent. However, no official charges have been brought against the couple so far, and their names are not mentioned in the charges against the rapper. Jay-Z and Beyoncé themselves responded to the rumors, calling them lies.
