Korean actress Kim Sae Ron has died at 24

Actress Kim Sae Ron was found dead in her Seoul apartment. The 24-year-old star of the Netflix series "Hunting Dogs" and the film "The Man from Nowhere" committed suicide, The New York Times reports.
Kim started her career at the age of 9 and was a successful actress in South Korea and abroad, but in 2022, she was "canceled" after she was pulled over for drunk driving. Sae Ron crashed into several city structures, including fences and trees. Since then, the girl has been constantly subjected to hate, despite public apologies and monetary compensation for the victims. It is speculated that this may have driven her to suicide.
South Korea's entertainment industry has often been criticized for damaging the mental health of its young stars. Several well-known bloggers, singers, and actors have passed away in the past few years. For example, the lead actor in the film "Parasite," Lee Sun-kyun, committed suicide in 2023. The actor was under investigation for drug use. In 2019, K-pop star Koo Hara committed suicide at the age of 28. She was reportedly suffering from severe depression and could not cope with the hate: commentators criticized her appearance, personality, and sex life.
