Pantone Institute has chosen the color of the year
The Pantone Color Institute has announced the color of the year for 2025: Mocha Mousse, a "warming brown hue that evokes the delicious qualities of chocolate and coffee," according to the organization's website.
"17-1230 Mocha Mousse is a warm, rich brown shade. It is associated with wealth, sensuality and soothing warmth, which reflects our desire for comfort and simple pleasures," the press service explained.
Pantone traditionally chooses the color of the coming year to reflect global trends in culture. The institute's experts analyze data from various spheres of human activity and study socio-cultural changes. They take as a basis trends on the catwalk, trends in social networks, street style, exhibitions, and the appearances of Hollywood stars.
In 2024, one of the shades of red, Viva Magenta, was recognized as the color of the year.
