'The Hardest Part of Being in Prison': Arrested for Human Trafficking P. Diddy Complains About Prison Food
The lawyer for the rapper P. Diddy, accused of human trafficking and rape, Mark Agnifilo, has revealed what the artist has found "the hardest" in prison. According to the lawyer, the incarcerated Sean Combs (real name P. Diddy) is most dissatisfied with the local food.
"I think the food is probably the hardest part of this," Agnifilo told reporters outside a New York courthouse on Oct. 10, according to E! News. "Sometimes the more you push a person, the stronger they get," added the rapper's co-counsel Anthony L. Ricco. "Nobody likes being in jail."
According to the source, the Brooklyn Detention Center, where Combs will be held until his trial, offers inmates several meal options: "regular" food, healthier options for those with heart conditions, and diet and vegetarian options. Defendants also have the option of purchasing food from a local store.
According to People, Diddy's day starts at 6 a.m. with a breakfast of cereal, fruit, and pastry. On weekdays, lunch is served at 11 a.m., and dinner is served after 4 p.m. Lunches consist of main courses, including burgers, baked fish, or beef tacos, while on weekends, a resident chef "spoils" the inmates with scrambled eggs and cookies. For dinner, the rapper's menu includes chicken fajitas, pasta, and roast beef. On the healthier side, lentils, tofu, and baked beans are on the menu.
The list of food items Combs can buy at the store includes chili tuna, honey buns, cashews, instant cereal, and protein bars.
Recall that 54-year-old rapper P. Diddy is accused of sexual assault, human trafficking, and murder - some believe he is guilty of the death of rapper Tupac Shakur. In 2023, the artist's ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura went to court, accusing her ex-lover of rape and abuse, but later withdrew the statement. After that, new victims began to quickly appear and details of the artist's turbulent personal life began to emerge. Combs had been throwing "white" parties with world-famous stars in his house for ten years. They were also attended by sex workers and, possibly, people, including minors, who were forced to have sex. The rapper was arrested in September in New York. The trial in one of the most high-profile cases of recent years is scheduled for May 5, 2025.
