According to the insider, Ben's loved ones, including his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, are concerned that he is "playing with fire" and could be drawn back into a destructive relationship.
"Ben has an addiction problem, and many believe that now that he's quit drinking, he's developed a new vice — he's become addicted to love. He clearly enjoys the emotional rollercoaster between him and J.Lo, even though he's not seriously considering getting back together, he's just enjoying the moment," the insider said, adding that Garner in particular thinks his ex-husband's attitude is "a terrible idea."
"First of all, he's messing with J.Lo, which is pretty cruel. Second of all, he's sending mixed signals to the kids, which is also wrong. It's been a rollercoaster ride. It seems like he's falling into a toxic pattern of behavior that's not going to end well," a source told In Touch.
