Kate Winslet Underwent Testosterone Replacement Therapy to Boost Her Libido
Titanic star Kate Winslet, who turns 49 in October, spoke candidly on the How to Fail podcast about how she improved her sex life. The actress admitted that she underwent testosterone replacement therapy.
"Sometimes women have a significant drop in libido because they may have thyroid issues and testosterone issues. A lot of people don't know this, but women have testosterone in their bodies and when it runs out, like eggs, you need to replace it so you can feel sexy again," Kate shared.
She assured women that it is not their fault that their bodies are changing: “Our bodies are strange, and especially as we age, unusual changes occur.” The actress advised fans to check their hormone levels before drawing any conclusions.
She also believes that age brings positive changes: “I think that as women age, they become juicier and sexier, more confident in who they are, stronger, more able to live and not worry about anything, it’s very inspiring. I tell my friends all the time that they look amazing and gorgeous.”
Let us recall that Kate Winslet is married to businessman Edward Abel Smith. The couple got married in 2012. Recently, the actress was photographed for a glossy magazine and told how she got rid of the feeling of guilt towards her children.
