Selena Gomez Became a Billionaire
Selena Gomez has become a dollar billionaire, according to Bloomberg, which analyzed all of the singer’s sources of income.
According to the publication, the 32-year-old star earned her fortune of $1.3 billion mostly (over 80%) from her business - Selena owns the cosmetics brand Rare Beauty Brands Inc., which actively collaborates with other celebrities.
Gomez's other activities are not as profitable. For example, her role in the popular TV series "The Murders in the Same Building," which has already been renewed for a fifth season (for each of the previous ones, Selena received at least $6 million), brought her a little more than 1% of her capital. Concert income accounts for about 4.8% of her fortune, and album sales - 1.8%. Let us recall that Selena has three studio albums, but she has not gone on tour since 2016, instead developing her acting career.
Gomez is also one of the founders of the Wondermind platform, which helps people with mental disorders and conducts research on mental health. In 2022, the project was valued at $100 million. In addition, when assessing Gomez's financial condition, Bloomberg took into account the value of her sold real estate, income from deals with streaming services and partnerships with brands - social media advertising alone brings Gomez millions of dollars. The fact that Selena is the third most followed person on Instagram* allows her to successfully promote her own and other people's products.
Recently, at the Telluride festival in Colorado, Russian actor Mark Eidelstein met with Selena Gomez.
