"It's crazy." Jenna Ortega explains why rumors about her affair with Johnny Depp came about

Jenna Ortega told BuzzFeed where the rumors about her affair with Johnny Depp came from. According to her, it all started with a phrase that was published in the media - allegedly the 21-year-old actress said that she "was in a serious relationship with Johnny Depp" and she wanted everyone to leave them alone.

"It's just crazy to me. I didn't say that. I've never said anything like that. Journalists actually just make up quotes, but I thought it was pretty funny," she said.

According to Jenna, she was asked about it many times afterward, and a co-star even asked how their relationship was going. "I was on set with Richard E. Grant, and he came up to me and said, 'Oh, so you're with Johnny?' And I laughed because I... I don't know this person."

Rumors that Ortega and Johnny, 61, were allegedly having an affair began over the summer after a celebrity gossip account posted that the two had gone on a date.

Depp himself was outraged by these rumors and said that he does not know Ortega at all and has never met her. "Depp has no personal or professional relationship with Ortega.
