"I'm definitely not Blake Lively." Britney Spears wears an updated version of her iconic Versace look
Britney Spears posted a video on social media in which she appeared in an updated version of the famous Versace Butterfly Dress, which she wore in public in 2002.
Apparently, the 42-year-old singer was nostalgic for 36-year-old Blake Lively, who recreated the pop diva's iconic look at the premiere of her new film "It Ends With Us" in New York. Walking the red carpet in the very dress she bought for more than $10,000, the actress said she was a big fan of Spears.
Britney was apparently touched by her confession. Although some of the singer's followers thought that she was trying to poke fun at the actress, since Spears did not forget to say that she liked her new dress more than the old one, since it revealed her legs. Probably, many Internet users already see a brewing conflict in any actions of Beatri, who often finds herself in the center of scandal - for example, she recently threatened to sue the singer Halsey because of a video based on her life, but then took her words back.
However, this time, Spears most likely did not want to offend anyone. As soon as rumors about her possible conflict with Blake began to appear, she rushed to compliment the actress: “This is a modernized version of my Versace dress from 2002. I’m not Blake Lively in it, but I like it.” Also, a source for TMZ said that Spears was, in fact, “very flattered” and thought that Blake looked “adorable” in her dress. Lively, in turn, liked Britney’s video, putting an end to the gossip.
By the way, because of Blake's appearance on the red carpet in Britney's dress, many believed that the actress would play the singer in the upcoming biopic about her, but insiders told Page Six that this is not the case, it's just that Spears' song Everytime is featured in the film "It Will End With Us," and the casting for the role of Britney hasn't even been held yet.
Earlier, Britney Spears was spotted in the company of her ex-boyfriend, a housekeeper with a criminal past.
