'Chicken Tenders and Pasta with No Sauce': Kim Kardashian's Former Chef Reveals Her Diet
Chef Jesse Henderson, who worked for Kim Kardashian's family, spoke about the reality TV star's diet and food preferences in an interview for the Daily Mail. He admitted that Kanye West's ex-wife loves fast food.
Jesse first met the Kardashian-Jenner family in 2021, when he was invited to cook a Nightmare on Elm Street-themed family dinner at Kylie Jenner's. The chef then went on to cook for all members of the famous family, and then Kim took him on vacation to the Dominican Republic as her personal chef.
Henderson said that despite her toned figure, Kim Kardashian, 43, enjoys indulging in dishes like "chicken tenders and French fries" and "no sauce pasta." Jesse said he was taken aback by Kim's love of carbs. The chef said that while on vacation, Kardashian pulled him aside and told him what she really wanted to eat for lunch.
"Then Kim said to me, 'Everyone probably tells you about quinoa and veggies, but I want to be honest with you: I want chicken tenders and pasta without sauce,'" Jessie recalls.
He noted that Kim always had to have something salty to snack on. And in general, the taste preferences of the members of America's most famous family are not distinguished by any particular sophistication. "The Kardashians always had to have fairly simple and affordable food on hand. They always had pasta, French fries, chicken tenders and hamburgers in the kitchen."
Henderson said the family paid him between $2,000 and $5,000 for each meal he cooked, and he earned between $15,000 and $25,000 for the themed events and family celebrations that the family loved to throw. During his work, Jesse carried out all the stars' orders, took into account everyone's wishes, and did everything to make them happy. "I'm the kind of cook who does everything. I'm not the kind of cook who comes in and says, 'I'm not going to wash the dishes.'
The cook has stopped working for the family, but keeps in touch with Kim, and she often invites him to California to cook dinner for her.
Despite her love of fast food, Kim compensates for her unhealthy meals with a strict workout regimen, the first of which starts daily at 5:30 a.m. Jesse said he enjoyed working with the Skims founder, calling the reality star "humble, level-headed, down-to-earth and hard-working."
