Angelina Jolie Wants Brad Pitt to 'End the Fight' and Drop Lawsuit Against Her
Angelina Jolie wants to end her legal battle with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, and insists that he withdraw his lawsuit, People reports. The 60-year-old actor filed a lawsuit against Jolie after she sold her share of their shared Chateau Miraval winery to a Russian businessman who produces alcohol for $67 million. According to Pitt, Angelina violated their agreement, while Jolie claims that they agreed on nothing.
According to Jolie's lawyers, Brad "has attempted to punish and control Angelina by demanding a recently expanded non-disclosure agreement to conceal his personal misdeeds and abuse. If Angelina again asks Mr. Pitt to end the conflict and finally put their family on the path to healing, and he does not withdraw his lawsuit, Angelina will have no choice but to obtain the evidence necessary to prove his allegations false." This is presumably referring to the plane incident that ended the couple's marriage: According to Jolie, Pitt hit her and one of their children, her adopted son Maddox, in 2016.
As insiders previously reported, Pitt also wants to mend fences with Angelina: because of their squabbles, he can't see his children. "Never did Brad imagine this long-term struggle and rivalry. He's ready to throw his hands up and give in," the source claimed. According to him, it was for the sake of the children that Pitt wanted to defend the winery. "The Miraval winery was something the kids could get from him and build their lives on when he's gone. But if they don't want it, it doesn't make sense."
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have six children in total: adopted children Maddox, Zahara and Pax, and biological children Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne. The adopted children have not communicated with Pitt for a long time and do not want to have anything to do with him. It is precisely the bad relationship with the children, as sources believe, that can really become a reason for Pitt to make peace with Angelina. The news of Shiloh's statement about renouncing his last name was a serious blow to him and "broke his heart." Shiloh's decision came shortly after her younger sister Vivienne also dropped the Pitt name.
According to Angelina's relatives, legal proceedings are also not easy for her: the actress has recently lost a lot of weight.
