New Official Portrait of Charles III Released, Not 'Bloody' This Time
Buckingham Palace has released a new official portrait of Charles III. Its release was timed to coincide with Armed Forces Day – remember that the King of Great Britain is the commander-in-chief of the country's armed forces.
The portrait, by British photographer Hugo Bernard, shows Charles III holding a sword and wearing the ceremonial coat of a first field marshal, decorated with medals. 
Internet users are already joking that Charles III looks “much better” in the new portrait. The public was recently stirred up by a portrait of the British monarch by artist Jonathan Yeo. In it, Charles was depicted in a red uniform on a red background. Many considered that the picture was too “bloody”, and the king depicted in it was even compared to the medieval tyrant Vigo Carpathian, Dracula from Francis Ford Coppola’s film, and the hero of Clive Barker’s horror film Hellraiser.
In early February, it became known that Charles III had been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Despite the illness, His Majesty continues to periodically perform his royal duties. He recently attended the Trooping the Colour parade, timed to coincide with his official birthday. However, the main event of the day was the appearance of Kate Middleton, who is also battling cancer. Before that, the Princess of Wales had not appeared in public for several months, and numerous conspiracy theories began to form around her disappearance from the radar.
