Jennifer Hudson Reveals Her Father Leaves Behind 27 Children
Jennifer Hudson has revealed that her late father Samuel Simpson, who left her mother when Jennifer was a child, had 27 children, and she still hasn't met all of them, she told Michelle Norris's podcast, "Your Mama's Kitchen."
Jennifer, 42, said her father was a big personality: "Yes, there are a lot of us. Apparently he has 27 children. I never met all of them. I dreamed of all of us sitting around a big table at Thanksgiving or Christmas, sitting and eating together - that was my dream when I was 16."
She noted that she was the youngest of them all. Jennifer began meeting her brothers and sisters after her grandmother, her father's mother, died. Then her brothers and sisters found her, and they got together with some of them. Jennifer Hudson's father died in 1999. It is not known for sure how many women he has children with. Of all of them, only Jennifer Hudson achieved fame and success, which is probably why her relatives want to establish contact with her.
Jennifer Hudson is an American actress and singer. She became the youngest woman and the second black woman in history to win all four major American entertainment awards: Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony. In 2006, she made her acting debut in the film Dreamgirls, a role in which she won 29 different awards.
