Angelina Jolie responds to new allegations that she asked children to avoid Brad Pitt
Angelina Jolie has received new allegations regarding the long-term litigation between her and Brad Pitt over the Chateau Miraval winery and child custody. This time, the actress’s former security guard testified.
Let us recall that Jolie sold her share in the winery to Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler, despite the initial agreement between the spouses to provide each other with the right of first refusal. Jolie explained her action by saying that Pitt required her to have an overly strict non-disclosure agreement in order to hide his actions, such as the use of physical violence towards her and children, from the public. Pitt, in turn, demanded that Jolie disclose numerous other non-disclosure agreements that she regularly signed with third parties to prove that this was a common practice for her.
Now the Los Angeles Superior Court has received new materials that contain testimony from Angelina's former security guard Tony Webb. Webb was Jolie's head of security for two decades and continued to work with her after her divorce from Brad Pitt. According to him, the actress forced his entire team to sign similar non-disclosure agreements regarding her personal and professional life, and when her proceedings with Pitt began, she threatened to sue if these agreements were violated.
Despite these threats, some of Tony's employees still expressed a willingness to testify if necessary. One of them said that he had heard more than once how Jolie tried to drive a wedge into Pitt’s relationship with the children. For example, she asked them to avoid their father during his visits. Webb said his team was fired shortly after his employees testified. After that, Tony went to work for Brad Pitt.
Angelina Jolie's lawyer, Paul Murphy, gave an official response to the allegations. “It is disgraceful how Mr. Pitt continues to attempt to equate routine non-disclosure agreements for security personnel and housekeepers regarding the information they receive on the job with an extended non-disclosure agreement to cover up his bad behavior,” ET quoted him as saying. .
Murphy also emphasized that this case is not about non-disclosure agreements, but about “power and control.” He stated that Angelina always wanted only independence and health, while maintaining positive relationships between all family members, including Pitt. “She can't wait until he can finally let her go,” Murphy said. Earlier, the Daily Mail obtained court documents in which Jolie's side claims that her ex-husband is trying to “financially exhaust” her. However, the publication conducted an investigation and found out that after the divorce, the Hollywood actress not only did not become poorer, but, on the contrary, became richer - by $100 million.
